Loyola International School: Shaping Leaders with Toastmasters Club
Loyola International School has taken a significant step towards holistic development with the launch of its Toastmasters Club. The first session held in October, was graced by a special visit from Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) Jennifer Helen Ghosh, Region 8 Advisor, alongside other eminent personalities from the Toastmasters fraternity.
The Toastmasters program focuses on growth alongside speaking. Sessions nurtured critical skills like active listening, constructive evaluation, and the ability to think on one’s feet. These qualities not only build personality but also encourage collaboration, empathy, and creative problem-solving—essential traits for educators and leaders alike.
For Loyola’s teachers, this initiative is a game-changer. Participating in Toastmasters enhances their ability to connect with students, manage classrooms effectively, and communicate complex ideas with clarity. It also aids in self-improvement, empowering teachers to lead by example and inspire their students to aim higher.
The second session, held in December, further reinforced Loyola’s commitment to this transformative journey. Teachers participated actively, tackling topics that encouraged personal reflection and spontaneity. Such initiatives exemplify Loyola’s dedication to nurturing confident communicators and future-ready leaders.
As Toastmasters celebrated its 100 years of excellence, Loyola International School proudly integrated this legacy into its educational framework, setting a benchmark for quality education. With every session, the school reaffirms its mission: to empower its community with the skills and confidence to shine in every sphere of life.
