Every child learns differently and every child deserves to be seen, supported, and celebrated. At Loyola, assessments are not about judging; they’re about guiding. They help us reflect on progress and support each child’s journey. It’s how we discover potential, support growth, and help every learner build the confidence to rise academically and personally – at their own pace

How We Assess

We use a balanced mix of written tests, class participation, projects, and regular reflections. Our teachers observe, encourage, and support every step. By mixing methods, we get a fuller, kinder picture of each student. These assessments help:

                                         ● Identify each student’s strengths and support needs 

                                         ● Encourage creativity, thinking skills, and real-world application 

                                         ● Guide teaching strategies and classroom improvement.

All assessments follow CBSE, NEP and Qatar MOEHE guidelines.

Purpose

Identify students’ unique starting points to tailor their learning journey.

End-of-term written formal assessments (Half Yearly and Annual Exams) 

 CBSE-conducted formal assessments for Grades 10 & 12

Assessment by Grade Levels : What to expect at each stage

👶 Kindergarden

● Play-based assessments, observation logs, and developmental milestones

● Focus on creativity, participation, and communication

● No formal exams

� Grades 1–8

● Continuous and comprehensive assessments throughout the year.

● Formative feedback guides skill-building, fostering a love for learning

● Evaluates knowledge, application, creativity and participation

● Balanced scoring through written exams, class evaluations, participation, assignments, and interdisciplinary projects

🎓 Grades 9–10

Structured as per CBSE guidelines

● Mix of theory and practical/project-based assessments

● Competency and application-based question formats

● Promotion requires 33% in each subject (internal + external)

� Grades 11–12

 ● Stream-specific assessments: Science, Commerce, Humanities

 ● Internal assessments + CBSE Board exam

 ● Practical and project-based evaluations where applicable
